Half way through the month and we haven't added anything to the story!

So, after making it back into WA okay and surviving the 3 day lock down that started the day we go to our eldest daughters home, we spent a very enjoyable time catching up with family and friends, and, getting a few things such as a car service, done.

Back onto the road for a few days with a stop in Dardenup at the free camp and another enjoyable overnight stop at Lake Nuninjup, we eventually made it back to Denmark.

Pulling up at the home of Laurie and Annette, owners and operators of Ducketts Mill Wines and Denmark Farmhouse Cheese, we were welcomed back like family. Settling in and catching up, then meeting the two other nomad couples there was enjoyable.

Next day we were back into working a few hours a day. The main tasks being to fence off the house and yard from the vineyard where, like last year, the local ag school sheep will be brought back into to keep the grass down, and to then build a chook house and yard for the chook's that have come over from Laurie and Annette's recently sold farm. So, after helping (or hindering) Laurie to build the fence, it was time to tackle the chook house.

Thankfully one of the other nomads is a builder and the other who has worked on construction before had an idea of what to do. So as Joanne got stuck back into the veggie garden I was able to help out with the form work and a few tractor bucket loads of fill for the chook house concrete slab, which will arrive by truck next week and be poured.

When we left last the vines were a nice shade of green and loaded with fruit, and we arrived back to find the fruit has been harvested and the vines are now rich shades of yellow and red as they transition into dormancy ready for us to prune in about a month. In the meantime there is plenty to do with other projects around the place.

Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will.
